I have been living in London, but leaving Brazil has taken a lot from me. I have found a lot of purpose in transforming my homesickness into a possibility to spread Brazilian Portuguese and culture to as many people as I can.
While in university I have had the opportunity to do a six-month exchange to Portugal, which has enabled me to better understand the variety in the Portuguese language, and has facilitated my comparison between Brazilian and European Portuguese. I am also experienced in content review, in which I have a postgraduate level. Finally, I am also a writer, my e-book was self published on Amazon after doing a literary writing course, and in moments of inspiration I like to write haikus!
In my classes I like to show curiosities about relevant themes tailored to each student. As a teacher, I pay attention to each student’s personality and individual nuances, making sure I will use the most suitable methodology, and most interesting examples.
I’m all about yoga, good books (mostly in Portuguese) and hunting down the best Brazilian food in London. You’ll probably also find me at a concert, art exhibition, stand-up show or catching a Brazilian film in the cinema – anything that brings me a taste of home!
